From 5 to 9 October 2026, Emuhaya, Kenya, hosted the Training of Trainers (TOT) of the Erasmus+ REACT project. Trainers from Spain, Senegal and Kenya, from the four partner organisations, took part in five intensive days so that they can in turn deliver the REACT programme in their own territories.
Five days, five steps
- Day 1 · Connecting: partners and trainers from Africa and Europe build a shared vision of the journey.
- Day 2 · Learning: getting to grips with the modules of the REACT toolkit.
- Day 3 · Sharing: exchanging experiences across countries and rural contexts.
- Day 4 · Innovating: how digital tools create opportunities for rural communities, including a field visit.
- Day 5 · Transforming: what everyone takes back home, and the certificate ceremony.

A 12-module toolkit
Digital foundations, communication and digital citizenship, entrepreneurship, marketing and finance (including mobile money), safe digital commerce, green transition and community action: the trainers completed all 12 modules and passed two rounds of assessed micro-teaching.

Certified trainers
Trainers from the four partner organisations (Inserta Andalucía, PFPC, Kipepeo Community Empowerment Program and Innovation Hub Kenya) received their REACT trainer certificates, awarded by Innovation Hub Kenya, lead of Work Package 3. They will now cascade the programme in Casamance, Andalusia and Emuhaya.
